EPDM - ASTM designation "EPDM" is composed of
Ethylene Propylene Terpolymer as the major elastomer in
this sheet. EPDM sheet is used in presence of heat - steam
- ozone - chemicals. Shows excellent resistance to acids
- Alkalis - Hydraulic Fluids - excellent electrical insulation.
Properly designed EPDM products are applicable in temperature
range -65 to +300F. Intermittent service to +350F. Normally
poor flame resistance. Used for cut gaskets - strips - flanges
- door seals and applications where resistance to wide range
of chemicals - heat - ozone - weather. Not recommended for
petroleum oil service.
